Paragon Behavioral Health Connections in Summit County, Colorado, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to join the Crisis Walk-In Center. You will provide screening, intake, engagement, care coordination and stabilization for individuals in behavioral health or substance use crises.

You will work with clinicians to support safety planning, service transitions, and referrals to inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Active certifications must remain in good standing.
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation training valued.
• Experience with HIPAA and confidential information handling.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, compassionate engagement to individuals in crisis, including walk-ins and referrals.
• Complete initial screenings and intake documentation under clinical guidance.
• Support crisis stabilization activities, including observation and de-escalation.
• Assist with withdrawal management coordination and medical communication.
• Collaborate with clinicians to support safety plans and service transitions.
• Coordinate referrals and warm handoffs to inpatient and community-based services.
• Maintain accurate documentation supporting clinical care and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in CPI responses and behavioral health emergencies.
• Support daily living needs and structured routines as appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge of community resources and crisis system pathways.
