Job summary

RHA Behavioral Health Services is hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist (Qualified Professional) to support individuals with MH or substance use needs across residential, school, workplace, and community settings. The role emphasizes recovery, skill-building, and community integration.

Responsibilities include developing the Person Centered Plan with the care team, coordinating with families and agencies, and providing supportive counseling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Not Human Services field) with 4+ years full-time experience with the served population OR
• Bachelor's degree (in Human Services field) with 2+ years full-time experience with the served population OR
• Master's degree or higher with 1+ years full-time experience with the served population.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor and revise the Person Centered Plan with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Facilitate relationships and act as a link between the company, families, local agencies and the community.
• Provide supportive counseling to minimize the impact of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence.
• Support clients in developing daily living, socialization and behavior management skills.
• Participate in 24/7/365 on-call first responder system and coordinate first response resources as needed.
• Link and arrange services and referrals; coordinate with other clinical staff for PCP implementation.
• Ensure timely initial authorizations for services and monitor service utilization for compliance.
