Job summary

RHA Behavioral Health Services, part of RHA Health Services, LLC, is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist (Qualified Professional) to support individuals with mental health and substance use needs in residential, school, workplace and community settings. The role emphasizes recovery, coping skills, and the highest level of community functioning.

Candidates must meet the education/licensing criteria outlined and complete pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with required experience as described, across the specified population.
• Bachelor's in Human Services with required experience across the population.
• Master's degree or higher with required experience across the population.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and revise the Person Centered Plan with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Facilitate relationships with parents, guardians, local agencies and the community.
• Minimize the negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence through supportive counseling.
• Support the client in the development of daily living, social, adaptation, and behavior management skills.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call first responder system and coordinate resources as needed.
• Perform Case Management functions and arrange for services and referrals.
• Work with staff to ensure PCP implementation and timely communication.
• Ensure timely initial and reauthorizations for services.
• Monitor service utilization for effectiveness and appropriateness.

Education

Bachelor Degree (Not Human Services field) with 4+ years full-time experience with population served

Bachelor Degree (in Human Services field) with 2+ years full-time experience with population served

Master's Degree or Higher with 1+ years full-time experience with population served

License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession
