County of Ventura is seeking a Records Supervisor I for the Sheriff’s Office – Criminal Records division. The role supervises a shift, assigns workload, and trains staff in criminal records workflows and database usage.

The ideal candidate brings records management expertise, strong judgment, and experience training others. Work includes handling public records requests and collaboration with law enforcement partners.

Qualifications

• Extensive records management knowledge and ability to apply laws.
• Ability to communicate in writing and to train staff.
• Experience with police records systems and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assess workload, supervise shift staff, assign duties and approve overtime as needed.
• Train staff in criminal records functions and operate computer systems.
• Prepare divisional reports and maintain accurate records.
