Job summary

California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in Marin County seeks a CORRECTIONAL CASE RECORDS SUPERVISOR to oversee complex records, supervise parole tracking, and coordinate with courts and agencies.

This permanent, full-time role requires high attention to legal interpretations, time computations, and staff training; the incumbent will prepare reports, participate in hiring, and support rehabilitation and public safety goals.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the California state service performing duties of a Correctional Case Records Analyst, at least one year at Analyst, Range C.
• Or three years of experience in a governmental law enforcement or criminal justice setting handling criminal case records, incl. supervisory duties.
• Education: the equivalent to completion of four years of college; additional qualifying work experience may substitute for up to two years of the college requirement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise parole tracking system and final parole audit process.
• Prepare and submit monthly release reports to central office.
• Provide training on time computation and legal interpretations of court documents.
• Train local staff on incarcerated person and supervised person records issues.
• Act as liaison with departments, agencies, and courts on complex record matters.
• May participate in court appearances and agency telephone contracts.
• Complete performance reports and participate in staff hiring/interviews.
