Job summary

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is seeking a civilian clerk to perform data-entry and clerical duties, handling sensitive criminal justice information including FCIC/NCIC queries and records with accuracy and discretion.

This position requires willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation, with duties spanning information retrieval, logging, and liaison with law enforcement and other agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 35 WPM typing required.
• Valid Florida driver license or Florida ID required.
• Full NCIC/FCIC certification or must obtain within six months of appointment.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Review documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Enter and retrieve information from FCIC/NCIC and other computer systems in a timely manner.
• Maintain logs in accordance with regulations and agency policies.
• Respond to inquiries from law enforcement personnel for information and calls as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of office files and inventory.
