Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Criminal Justice adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers.

Initial assignment may be at a teaching location, but the official work station may change each semester. The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice (transfer courses).
• Bachelor’s degree with teaching experience or graduate work for non-transfer courses.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and college personnel.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses at Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials and evaluate student learning.
• Maintain class records and submit required reports on time.
• Use the LMS (eLearn) and participate in required meetings; report attendance and final grades by deadlines.
