Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for English adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester.

The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel required.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses for discipline in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials; evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
• Report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades prior to established deadlines.
• Communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes as appropriate to assigned chair/dean.
