Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Computer Applications adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester.

The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, or related subject area.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel.
• Experience with or willingness to use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses for discipline in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials; evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
• Attend required meetings, report attendance, implement early alert notifications, and submit final grades prior to deadlines.
• Communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes to the assigned chair/dean.
