Job summary

Utah Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) is seeking a Criminal Information Tech II with DCFS to perform background screenings and data entry for kinship placements. The role involves processing background checks and maintaining related records in a hybrid in-office/telework setting.

Starting rate is $18.95 hourly with potential for a full benefits package; state employment requires working within Utah. Hybrid eligibility is determined by management and may change.

Responsibilities

• Enter and retrieve data in computer systems; correct or delete entries as needed.
• Monitor delegated email and process requests from DCFS caseworkers.
• Collaborate with caseworkers, kinship workers, and applicants.
• Conduct criminal and child abuse background screenings using UCJIS, SAFE, and Courtlink.
• Prepare and enter applications into the DACS system; manage background processing.
• Maintain records and logs; ensure proper classification of agency/state records.
