Job summary

InformData in Boston, MA is seeking a Criminal Field Researcher to research public records and determine whether applicants have criminal or civil records. You will help verify identities and deliver reliable background checks, keeping accuracy and timeliness as a priority.

You will build relationships with court personnel, perform public-record searches, and enter findings into proprietary systems with care and clarity.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with court personnel and the public.
• Research public records indexes to retrieve information.
• Enter results into systems, marking as clear or recording information as instructed.
• Communicate with Supervisor about holidays, closures, or delays.
• Provide updates on issues affecting operations or commitments.
• Assist with court copy requests and other duties as assigned.
• Act as back-up for other Field Researchers as needed.
• Adhere to Quality and Turnaround Time standards.
