Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise timely filing of pleadings and documents on appeal.
  • Review assignments of error; conduct research to prepare briefs for the State of Florida.
  • Represent the State in habeas corpus proceedings in federal courts.
  • Handle appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • Handle extraordinary litigation in state and federal courts as assigned by the Bureau Chief.
