Job summary

The State of Florida's Office represents the State in civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the U.S. Supreme Court.

In Criminal Appeals, you will represent the State in all criminal appeals filed with the District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court. The position requires a law degree (JD or LL.B), admission to the Florida Bar, and at least two years of professional legal experience.

Qualifications

  • Active license to practice law in Florida (Florida Bar).
  • Admission to the Florida Bar within 12 months of appointment may be required.
  • Degree from an accredited law school: JD or LL.B.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the State of Florida in criminal appeals before the District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court.
