Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to join the GN&C Modeling & Simulation team. You will build and integrate multidisciplinary models for spaceflight simulations across multiple platforms, using C/C++, Rust, Simulink, and NASA's TRICK framework.

You’ll work with software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop labs to support safe human spaceflight. You will collaborate with other subsystems to define interfaces, validate performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
• 5+ years of software development and debugging in C/C++, Rust, and Simulink.
• Modeling GN&C components and sim-based validation experience.
• Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics and first-principles physics.
• CI pipelines and configuration management experience.
• Able to build trust and work in an inclusive culture.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the US (citizenship/residency required).

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to design, build, deploy, and support our simulation infrastructure.
• Create and integrate multidisciplinary models for multi-vehicle simulations using C/C++, Rust, Simulink, and TRICK.
• Deliver simulations to customers to inform decisions and verify requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to validate models.
