Job description

A Crew Member, or Cashier, isresponsible for assisting a team of restaurant staff in preparing orders andinteracting with customers. Their duties include greeting customers andinputting their order requests into a computer system, working as part of an assemblyline to cook and package orders and maintaining a clean workspace by sanitizingsurfaces before, during and after shifts.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Followingthe company’s security and safety procedures
• Arrivingfor the start of their shift on time and staying until all duties arecomplete
• Take customer orders at thecounter
• Receivepayments and present change to customers
• Packfood items, make coffee, and fill beverage cups
• Functionas the host/hostess of the restaurant
• Makereservations for customers
• Receivefood checks from waiters or customers
• Appealto impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours
• Managethe register, including all credit card and cash operations
• Ensurea balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period
