Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Crew Member to craft food, engage guests, and keep the restaurant running smoothly during each shift.

You’ll contribute to a welcoming vibe, uphold safety standards, and collaborate with team members to deliver an authentic Cheba Hut experience for every guest visiting our Lincoln location.

Qualifications

• Restaurant, food service, or customer service experience preferred.
• Food handling certification offered during training.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Comfortable lifting up to 47 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Craft great food and serve with a smile at the register, line, and lobby.
• Provide fast, friendly service and handle cash/POS accurately.
• Deliver authentic, genuine interactions and prioritize guest experience.
• Recommend menu items with confidence and guide guests through orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold food safety standards.
• Support opening, closing, and shift duties as required.

What You’ll Own:

• Guest Experience & Interaction
• Deliver authentic, genuine interactions
• Prioritize “interaction over the transaction.”
• Make confident menu recommendations
• Provide fast, friendly service at the register, line, and lobby
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately

• Maintain strong situational awareness — keep your head on a swivel
• Clean as you go — never leave a mess behind
• Perform opening, closing, and shift duties consistently
• Maintain clean front-of-house and back-of-house areas
• Follow all employee health and safety policies

What Makes You a Fit:

• Previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Food handling certification required (no worries if you don’t have one- we’ll help you certify)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable lifting up to 47 lbs
