Job description

Position Overview

This position is responsible for the safe transportation of Auction employees on Auction property and to/from various locations, including the Auction, local businesses, and dealerships. The role involves compliance with safety regulations, the Uniform Vehicle Code, DOT regulations, and the principles of courteous and defensive driving. Additionally, the position entails leading a team of drivers to accomplish operational tasks on the lot.

Sign-On Bonus

$1,000 total, paid as $500 after 30 days and $500 after 90 days of employment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their duties and assist supervisors in assigning work.
2. Coordinate with supervisors to ensure proper vehicle flow and maintain logs of vehicle movements and lot locations.
3. Communicate schedules and assignments to team members.
4. Manage vans and transport drivers to various locations, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
5. Shuttle employees during sale days and provide transportation to remote sites for vehicle inventory.
6. Handle pick-up and drop-off of employees and personnel to/from Auction, parking lots, dealerships, and other locations.
7. Perform daily vehicle maintenance, routine checks, and refueling.
8. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety procedures and supporting safety initiatives.
9. Work with management to review work volumes, plan staffing, and monitor performance for continuous improvement.
10. Lead the team by setting an example, promoting company values, and ensuring respectful treatment of all employees.
11. Enforce company policies related to conduct.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience (e.g., higher education or 5 years' experience).
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation

Hourly rate ranges from $14.71 to $22.12, based on location, experience, and skills. Additional compensation such as commissions or incentives may apply.
