Job description

This position is responsible for the safe transportation of Auction employees on Auction property and to/from the Auction, local business/dealerships, etc., in compliance with Auction safety and driving rules, the Uniform Vehicle Code, applicable DOT regulations, and the rules of the road. The role involves demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles. Additionally, this position leads a team of drivers to accomplish various operational tasks on the lot.

Sign On Bonus:

$1,000 ($500 paid after 30 days and $500 after 90 days of employment)

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their duties and assist the supervisor in assigning and directing employee work.
  2. Communicate with supervisors to ensure proper vehicle flow and maintain logs of stock numbers and lot locations.
  3. Assign schedules and communicate them to crew members.
  4. Manage vans and drivers to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off at designated locations.
  5. Shuttle employees to auxiliary parking lots and transport inventory vehicles at remote sites.
  6. Transport employees and personnel to/from the Auction, parking lots, dealerships, and other locations.
  7. Perform daily vehicle maintenance, routine checks, and refueling.
  8. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety procedures and supporting safety activities.
  9. Review work volumes with management, monitor staffing levels, and develop strategies for performance improvement.
  10. Lead the team by setting an example, embodying company values, and respecting employees.
  11. Enforce company policies related to conduct.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Work Environment:
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation:

$14.71 - $22.12 per hour, based on experience and location. Additional compensation may include commissions or incentives.

Benefits:

Minimum of sixteen hours paid time off per month, seven paid holidays, and additional leave options such as bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
