This position is responsible for the safe transportation of Auction employees on Auction property and to/from the Auction, local business/dealerships, etc., in compliance with Auction safety and driving rules, the Uniform Vehicle Code, applicable DOT regulations, and the rules of the road. The role involves demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles. It also entails leading a team of drivers to accomplish various operational tasks on the lot.

Sign On Bonus: $1,000 ($500 paid after 30 days of employment, $500 paid after 90 days of employment)

Job Responsibilities

• Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their duties and assist the supervisor in assigning and directing work.
• Communicate with the supervisor or manager to ensure proper flow of vehicles and maintain logs of stock numbers and lot locations.
• Communicate schedules and assignments to crew members.
• Manage vans and transport drivers to locations, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles.
• Shuttle employees to/from auxiliary parking lots on sale days and provide transportation for inventory vehicles at remote sites.
• Pick-up and drop-off employees and Auction personnel to/from various locations.
• Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van, including fueling and servicing.
• Follow all safety and health procedures, demonstrating safety commitment and working with the Safety Manager to support safety initiatives.
• Review work volumes, monitor staffing levels, and develop strategies for improvement.
• Lead the team effectively by setting an example, promoting Cox/Manheim values, and treating all employees with respect.
• Enforce company policies related to conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field, or
• Alternative combination: higher education or 5 years' related experience.
• Valid driver's license; safe driving record required.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation: Hourly pay rate ranges from $14.71 to $22.12, based on location and candidate experience. Additional compensation such as commissions or incentives may apply.

Benefits: Minimum of 16 paid hours off per month, 7 paid holidays, and other leave options such as bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
