Job summary

Cox Enterprises in Mount Juliet, TN seeks a Shuttle Driver Lead to orient and guide drivers, coordinate vehicle movements, and ensure timely transport of staff and vehicles. You will oversee daily operations, maintain vehicle logs, and enforce safety and company policies in a dynamic outdoor environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination, and the ability to supervise a team across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related work experience.
• Or any higher degree or certification with 1 year related experience.
• Alternatively, 5 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties and assist supervisor in assigning and directing the work of employees.
• Communicate with supervisor or manager to assure proper flow of vehicles and maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.
• Communicate schedules and assignments to the crew members.
• Manage vans and transport drivers to locations; ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles by transporting them according to schedule.
• Shuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days; provide transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites.
• Pick-up and drop-off employees and other Auction personnel to/from the Auction, parking lots, dealerships, customer locations/businesses, and other locations.
• Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van and clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors; support Safety Excellence.
• Review work volumes with the manager and plan staffing to ensure efficiency, quality, and service; monitor KPIs and drive improvement actions.
• Lead the location team by example and uphold Cox/Manheim values; ensure respectful treatment of all employees.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
