Job summary

The City of Pasadena, Texas is seeking a Parks Worker II to lead and perform skilled maintenance, landscaping, and construction across park facilities. You will supervise daily crews, train staff, and ensure safety and quality during groundskeeping, irrigation, and playground upkeep.

Responsibilities include operating mowers and landscape equipment, leading projects from walkways to structures, and maintaining tools, vehicles, and records while complying with licensing and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related parks maintenance, landscaping, construction, or related field.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving record.
• Preferred: Class B CDL.
• Texas license or certification to apply herbicides.
• Experience leading or supervising work crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily park maintenance activities and oversee assigned staff.
• Perform litter removal, groundskeeping, and facility upkeep.
• Operate mowers and landscape equipment.
• Construct and repair park structures, benches, and irrigation components.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and train new staff.
• Maintain and inspect tools and vehicles.
