Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to ensure safe productivity of the crew, train staff, and operate/maintain equipment. You will communicate with the General Foreperson and coordinate daily tasks, while promoting customer satisfaction and safe work practices.

The role requires extensive tree removal and bucket work with ladders, heavy equipment, and driving company vehicles. Overtime, on-call work, and travel for emergencies are expected.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols of lines and equipment.
• Able to identify tree and shrub species.
• Able to climb, walk, and work from ladders at heights.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Able to work long hours, including emergencies, holidays, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily crew work; assign tasks after orders from supervisor.
• Operate and service equipment (chainsaws, chippers, hydraulic tools).
• Ensure safety practices per policy and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with property owners and utility reps for access and work scope.
• Maintain records of crew time, work completed, and incidents.
