Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Crew Chief to lead our surveying teams in the field. The role involves overseeing surveying operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficiency. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience as a Crew Chief in land surveying.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Lead and supervise survey crews, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
2. Conduct field surveys using advanced equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
3. Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and other surveying tasks.
4. Interpret survey data, prepare field notes, sketches, and reports.
5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project objectives.
6. Maintain and perform routine maintenance on survey equipment.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations for a safe working environment.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience, including 3 years as a Crew Chief with leadership experience.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and willingness to enroll in compliance programs.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and with a strong work ethic.
• Self-driven with minimal supervision.
