Job summary

International Executive Service Corps seeks an experienced Designer with precision mechanical design expertise to support work in Idaho Falls, ID. The role emphasizes Creo-based 2D/3D drawings, tolerance analysis, and GD&T discipline.

The candidate will work remotely with onsite opportunities, collaborating with engineers and fabricators while ensuring compliant, fully documented drawings and models in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience using Creo software.
• Must have overall specialization in precision mechanical.
• Ability to apply ASME Y14.5-2009 to real parts and assemblies, including datum systems and tolerance concepts.
• Advanced skill with PTC Creo and Windchill Data Management Software or comparable tools; working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise 2D drawings, 3D parametric models, assemblies, and documentation from approved inputs.
• Create complete drawings defining geometry, interfaces, materials, finishes, tolerances, inspection requirements, quantities, and assemblies.
• Apply datum reference frames and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Evaluate tolerance accumulation and fit at interfaces; identify fabrication and inspection risks.
• Maintain drawing integrity through document control and revision management.
• Coordinate with engineers to clarify requirements and suggest practical drawing solutions.
• Plan work against priorities and provide progress updates; raise concerns early.
• Mentor drafting personnel in modeling, detailing, checking, and GD&T application.
