Job summary

Omega Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Designer to translate engineering requirements into detailed drawings, 3D parametric models, and assemblies for Idaho National Laboratory's Materials and Fuels Complex.

The role emphasizes GD&T proficiency, precision mechanical design, and strong collaboration with engineers, fabricators, and inspectors. The Designer will work remotely with occasional on-site support at MFC and must meet ASME Y14.5-2009 GD&T standards while contributing to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of relevant experience; or 10+ years with no degree.
Proficiency in 3D parametric modeling and drawing detailing.
Experience applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009.

Responsibilities

Develop and revise 2D drawings and 3D models and assemblies.
Prepare drawings defining geometry, interfaces, materials, tolerances, and notes.
Apply GD&T with datum references and feature control frames.
Evaluate tolerance accumulation at part and assembly interfaces.
Maintain model integrity through document and revision control.
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and inspectors to resolve discrepancies.
Mentor drafting personnel and support backlog reduction.
