Job summary

JOST International Corp. is seeking a Product Designer who will convert specifications and customer layouts into high-precision 3D models and drawings using PTC Creo. The role requires strong attention to detail and adherence to ASME standards, with involvement in R&D to improve existing product lines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical design, plus experience with GD&T and PLM/SAP data handling. Some travel may be required as part of cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Must have high attention to detail in technical drawings, BOM, and data entry.
• Strong 3D modeling skills and proficiency in Creo preferred.
• Experience with PLM systems (Pro.File) and ERP (SAP) is highly preferred.
• Associate degree in design/drafting or equivalent plus 2+ years in mechanical design desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve product designs using PTC Creo from sketches and layouts into detailed 3D models and drawings.
• Produce high-quality work with attention to detail meeting JOST standards.
• Interpret and follow ASME standards and company design procedures.
• Analyze tolerance stack-ups using GD&T to ensure functional assembly and safety.
• Participate in R&D projects to enhance product lines and support innovation.
• Use Pro.File for PLM and SAP for production data entry and release.
• Provide technical assistance to engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales as needed.
• Travel may be required.
