Job summary

Omega Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Drafter to support Idaho National Laboratory's Materials and Fuels Complex. The role involves preparing, revising, and checking complex drawings and 3D models, largely remotely, with occasional on-site travel to MFC.

The ideal candidate brings strong Creo proficiency, advanced GD&T skills, and experience mentoring other drafters. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DOE security clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant drafting experience, including checking or redlining other drafters' work or leading a drafting team.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience using Creo software.
• Working proficiency in Creo and AutoCAD, including preparation and revision of 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Knowledge of ANSI/ASME Y14 drafting standards.
• Ability to perform geometric and tolerance stack-up calculations.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain DOE clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex engineering drawings and drawings revisions (2D and 3D) per standards.
• Evaluate design inputs with engineers to establish dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Check and redline drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor less experienced drafters in drafting practices.
