Job summary

System One is seeking a CAD Designer Engineer III for a contract onsite assignment in Kent, WA. You will develop, modify, and release engineering models, assemblies, and drawings for umbilical systems, ground testing equipment, launch pad structures, and tooling, using Creo.

The role emphasizes CN-controlled releases, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, configuration management, and collaboration with stress analysts and design engineers. Prior NASA MSFC conventions experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Drafting/Engineering Tech/Mech Eng or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Creo for modeling, assemblies and drawing creation.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Experience with configuration management and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop CN-controlled designs, models and drawings for umbilical assemblies and routing hardware.
• Define interfaces with vehicle, payload and ground support equipment; include connector pinouts and fluid line schematics.
• Develop, modify and maintain Creo models and drawings per conventions and CN release.
• Perform model checks and design reviews to ensure engineering standards compliance.
• Develop CN-controlled designs for test fixtures, stands and supporting instrumentation hardware.
• Define interfaces for launch pad structures and related tooling and infrastructure.
• Generate detailed manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5 standards and maintain product data
• Collaborate with stress analysts and design engineers on design changes and documentation.
