Job summary

System One is seeking a CAD Designer Engineer III for a remote contract role. You will develop, modify, and release engineering models, assemblies, and drawings for umbilical systems, ground testing equipment, and launch pad structures, with a strong emphasis on Creo modeling and CN release processes.

Responsibilities include defining interfaces, performing CN checks, ensuring GD&T compliance, and collaborating with design and stress teams to drive engineering changes through to release.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) for modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation.
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.
• Experience with configuration management and engineering change/release processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release CN-controlled designs, models, and drawings for CN-controlled components, fixtures, and tooling.
• Define interfaces with vehicle, payload, and ground support equipment, including connector pinouts and fluid line schematics.
• Develop, modify, and maintain Creo models, assemblies, and drawings per modeling conventions and CN release requirements.
• Perform model checks, design reviews, and CN release activities to ensure conformance with standards.
• Generate drawings and ensure documentation is updated through the product lifecycle.
