Job summary

System One is seeking a CAD Designer Engineer III in Kent, WA to develop and release CN-controlled CAD models and drawings for umbilical systems, ground testing equipment, and launch pad structures. Proficiency in Creo is required, with solid GD&T and ASME Y14.5 knowledge.

You will collaborate with stress analysts and design engineers, perform design reviews, and manage CN release documentation throughout the product lifecycle to ensure compliance with established standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) for modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation.
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.
• Experience with configuration management and engineering change/release processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and release CN-controlled designs, models, and drawings for umbilical assemblies and related tooling.
• Define and document interfaces with vehicle, payload, and ground support equipment, including pinouts and schematics.
• Develop, modify, and maintain Creo models, assemblies, and drawings per conventions and CN release requirements.
• Perform model checks, design reviews, and CN release activities to ensure compliance with standards.
• Generate detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings per ASME Y14.5 and maintain product data through CN-controlled releases.
