Job summary

System One is seeking a CAD Designer Engineer - III for a contract role in Merritt Island, Florida. The candidate will develop, modify, and release engineering models and drawings for umbilical systems, ground testing equipment, launch pad structures, and tooling.

Proficiency in Creo and CN release is essential. The position requires collaboration with design engineers and stress analysts, adherence to ASME Y14.5, and CN-controlled documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with CN release processes and configuration management.
• Collaborative work with stress analysts and design engineers.

Responsibilities

• Generate CN-controlled CAD models, assemblies, and drawings for umbilical systems and ground support equipment.
• Support Creo modeling, revisions, and CN release activities per company conventions.
• Develop test fixtures, stands, and hardware drawings for ground testing equipment.
• Document interfaces and ensure proper tooling and handler interfaces.
