Job summary

foundationpartners is hiring a Crematory Operator to ensure remains are properly received, processed, and returned to families. The role may involve assisting with transportation of the deceased between facilities, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety practices.

The position requires compassionate, detail-oriented individuals with a clean driving record and the ability to lift 100 lbs. Crematory certification is preferred, and familiarity with MS Office is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Crematory operator certification is preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs safely.
• Effective communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrity.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Care for the deceased respectfully while performing cremation tasks.
• Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities.
• Receive remains and ensure all documentation and visual ID are complete and accurate.
• Receive instructions for multiple tasks and determine the order of tasks to complete them promptly.
• Promote a safe work environment by following universal precautions.
• Deliver and release cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family member.
