Job summary

Foundation Partners Group in Lexington, SC is seeking a Crematory Operator to receive, process, and return remains to families. You may transport the deceased from nursing homes, hospitals, residences, or coroner's offices to the funeral home. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 100 lbs are required.

You must be at least 21 and able to maintain composure in challenging situations with compassion and integrity. Crematory operator certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Crematory operator certification is preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs safely.
  • Effective communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrity.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and return cremated remains to families.
  • Transport the deceased to the funeral home from nursing homes, hospitals, residences, or coroner's offices.
  • Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities.
  • Receive instructions, determine task order, and complete them promptly.
  • Promote a safe work environment by following universal precautions and safe conduct principles.
  • Deliver and release cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family member.
