Job summary

Foundation Partners Group in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Crematory Operator to ensure remains are received, processed, and returned to families with dignity. You will also assist with transporting the deceased from facilities to the funeral home, while maintaining composure in challenging situations.

Candidates must be at least 21, able to lift 100 lbs, and hold a valid driver's license. Experience with Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail are important, and crematory operator

Qualifications

• Crematory operator certification is preferred
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record
• Ability to lift 100lbs safely
• Effective communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrity
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent follow-up skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Compassion & Empathy: Care for the deceased respectfully while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation process
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities
• Meticulous Attention: Receive remains and ensure all documentation is complete and visual identification of the deceased is complete and accurate
• Critical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order for the tasks, and complete them promptly
• Safety Conscious: Promotes a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conduct
• Professional Delivery: Delivers and releases cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family member
