Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic English grammar, reading, and math skills.
• Must pass a color blind test; variations on color Hue test preferred.
• Interpersonal, manual dexterity, mechanical, math, and judgement skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and hang cones of yarn on creels to feed the tufting machine.
• Ensure correct yarn and lot numbers are used; load yarn into the creel.
• Move yarn to creel area, hang on creel racks, and assist operator with breaks.
• Assist in changing machine backing and learn to operate the tufting machine.
• Follow safety rules and maintain housekeeping.
