Job summary

Abricu is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to assess learning needs, design programs, and coordinate cross-training across locations. You will deliver engaging content, track progress, and ensure compliance with annual training requirements.

Ideal candidates have a background in organizational development or adult education, with multiple years in credit unions or banking. The role requires flexibility to travel to training sites and maintain knowledge resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in organizational development, Adult Education, or comparable academic preparation.
• At least two years of training experience.
• Minimum three years credit union experience (preferred).
• Minimum three years as a teller or personal banker (preferred).
• Willingness to work flexible hours in multiple locations.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License with safe driving record and ability to drive to multiple locations for training or transporting training supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to meet objectives.
• Conduct and coordinate staff training and cross-training to maximize sales and service delivery.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement training programs to promote excellence in member service.
• Ensure staff completes required annual training and provide reports to auditors.
• Model and promote growth in staff, including skills, productivity, teamwork, and communication.
• Design learning content and materials to stimulate interest and retention.
• Facilitate web-based training and track courses across staff annually.
• Update and maintain the employee knowledge base portal to stay current.
