Job summary

Premier America Credit Union in Chatsworth, CA is seeking an Operations Services Specialist to support branch operations, virtual services, and member service areas. The role involves processing internal requests, reviewing deposits, remittance posting, document scanning, and aiding in compliance across departments.

The candidate should have strong math and bookkeeping skills, solid communication abilities, and experience in a credit union environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of credit union experience preferred with one year minimum of similar experience.
• Solid math and bookkeeping abilities.
• Microsoft Office suite skills including Word and Excel.
• Solid communication and public relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Process requests from internal departments (check copies, statement copies, account type changes, fee reversals, etc.).
• Review Mobile/ATM deposits and adjustments, including returns, holds, and escalations to FIU for review.
• Complete daily remittance processing, manual posting for items needing manual processing.
• Scan and index member documents as requested.
• Process incoming mail requests (account closures, deposits, loan payments).
• Process loan payoffs and send documents to lending department.
• Process ACH originations requests.
• Assist with account charge-offs, including calls, notices, and recommendations.
• Process levies, garnishments, and money judgments.
