Job summary

SanMar seeks a dedicated Credit Trainer to elevate the Credit Department through structured training and ongoing development. You will design and deliver comprehensive sessions for new hires and existing staff, aligning with leadership and the broader training team to reinforce professionalism and exceptional customer service.

In this role, you will maintain training materials in Confluence and related systems, coordinate curriculum, and support daily credit operations while upholding SanMar's

Qualifications

• 4+ years full Accounts Receivable cycle or collections experience.
• Proficient in D365, MS Teams, Salesforce, Cybersource, ASM, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a history of finding mutually acceptable solutions.
• De-escalation and negotiation skills.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Credit Department hiring process, including onboarding and completion of new hire paperwork.
• Coordinate and facilitate training curriculum and schedules for new hires; collaborate with position-specific training helpers.
• Develop and implement ongoing training programs to support skill development and performance improvement.
• Conduct training for existing team members through refresher courses, coaching, and soft skills development.
• Evaluate knowledge, identify skill gaps, and tailor training to enhance performance.
• Maintain training materials and documentation in systems including Confluence, Spokane, and Clothesline.
• Support Credit Department operations, including collections, order approvals, account maintenance, and customer communication.
• Ensure effective communication across the Credit team, including new hires, trainers, supervisors, and managers.
• Uphold SanMar's commitment to customer service and Family Values in all activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
