Job summary

Ares is seeking an Associate, Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions powering the firm's global credit investment platform in New York.

You will contribute to front-end and back-end development, APIs, and data services, collaborating with senior engineers and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality technology across the investment lifecycle. The role involves working closely with Product Management and Investment Technology teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with full-stack development (Java backend and React frontend).
• Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, and data integration.
• Experience delivering enterprise software; financial services background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions powering credit investment workflows.
• Contribute across front-end, backend, integration, and data-layer development.
• Build and maintain APIs, services, and user-facing applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, tested code and participate in reviews.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting as part of the team.
