Job summary

Ares is seeking an Associate, Full Stack Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of technology solutions powering the firm’s global credit investment platform.

Reporting to the VP, Credit Engineering Lead, this role will serve as a hands-on software engineer within the Credit Technology Engineering team, responsible for developing applications, APIs, data services, and platform capabilities across the credit investment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with full-stack development for enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of APIs and data services.
• Experience with Java backend and React frontend is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions for credit investment workflows.
• Contribute across front-end, backend, integration, and data-layer development activities.
• Build and maintain APIs, services, and user-facing applications supporting investment workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, tested code aligned with engineering standards.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.
