Job summary

Remitly, Inc. seeks a Head of Credit Strategy - Lending to shape lending strategies and manage credit risk, delivering customer value while aligning with regulatory requirements.

You will lead AI/ML-based underwriting, real-time monitoring, pricing and collections strategy to maximize LTV with controlled risk. This executive role oversees cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing and Engineering, defining roadmaps and governance for credit risk.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategy and analytics driving financial decisions.
• Bachelor's in math, statistics, engineering or economics; advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years leading consumer lending strategy using model-based segmentation and underwriting.
• 2+ years partnering with Finance on CECL reserve modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine risk segmentation, underwriting policy, line assignment and management strategies.
• Own credit policy for new lending products.
• Define and drive KPIs for risk outcomes and economic returns.
• Lead development of underwriting and pricing models and deployment.
