Job summary

S&T Bank is seeking an experienced Credit Risk Review professional to independently monitor credit quality and assess risk management effectiveness across lending activities. You will analyze commercial and consumer credits, validate risk ratings, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

The role involves reviewing bank loans, providing actionable recommendations, and collaborating with management to strengthen credit oversight.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year college degree; preferred major in Accounting or related field.
• Loan Review Certification or willingness to obtain within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides independent credit quality analysis of commercial and consumer lending, including risk ratings and controls.
• Reviews assigned credits/borrowers for compliance with policies and underwriting guidelines.
• Evaluates quality of credits and risk ratings to assess borrower financial strength and repayment probability.
• Reviews bank's commercial loans for compliance with policies and standards; may review retail and other exposures.
• Performs mortgage quality control and portfolio reviews to verify adherence to investor rules; assesses small business loan risk.
• Offers recommendations to Credit Risk Review Manager to strengthen credit risk oversight.
• May assist in performing commercial or retail reviews and other projects requiring credit expertise.
• Maintains relationships with bank staff and works effectively as part of a team.
