Job summary

Community First Credit Union is seeking a Lending Analytics & Risk Analyst to study portfolio performance, manage credit risk strategies, and support automated systems that power underwriting. This role blends portfolio analytics with risk management to optimize loan growth while maintaining prudent risk controls.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in consumer lending or risk analytics, strong quantitative skills, and experience with data visualization tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or Business preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
2+ years of experience in consumer lending, credit risk, portfolio analytics, banking, or financial services.
Strong analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in advanced spreadsheet modeling.
Experience working with loan origination systems and lending data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing automated underwriting rules or credit decision engines preferred.
Knowledge of consumer lending products, credit bureau data, and underwriting practices preferred.
Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor portfolio performance and risk across portfolio segments and geographies.
Shape decisioning by managing automated underwriting rules and thresholds.
Deliver analytics via dashboards, reports, and scorecards for lending and executive leadership.
Uphold compliance and governance with audits and documentation of underwriting methodologies.
Collaborate with Lending, Risk, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to support new product development and management.
