Job summary

T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks an Analyst in Credit Risk Management to apply statistical methods and SQL-driven data analysis to identify credit segmentation opportunities and improve risk policies.

You will partner with multiple teams to deploy, analyze and track new credit strategies, driving actionable insights. You will extract large data sets, build predictive models, and communicate results clearly, contributing to risk management and fraud strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in SAS, SQL, R, Python, or other statistical/analytical programming languages
• Familiar with data visualizations tools including Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Excel/VBA, Python including pandas, matplotlib, etc.
• Superior computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
• Superior communication (spoken and written), organization and presentation skills
• Superior time management skills and awareness of project management methods

Responsibilities

• Utilize statistical segmentation techniques, for example decision trees, regression models, and K-means clustering, to identify new opportunities.
• Extract, load and transform data from several sources using SQL, Excel VBA, programming languages like R, Python, etc. for statistical, reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of credit polices to meet given objectives.
• Develop predictive financial and analytical models using the appropriate statistical methodologies, including trend and regression analysis.
• Participate and perform the analysis of new data and statistical products by external vendors.
• Work with credit bureau and alternative credit data.
• Deliver work output with full awareness and adherence to project timelines or agreed upon deadlines.
