Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a data and risk analyst to support complex reporting, analysis, and modeling to manage risk and minimize losses. You will collaborate with Technology to implement data solutions and produce internal and external reporting data.

The role focuses on reviewing portfolio trends, developing more complex databases, and delivering data-driven insights for Risk and business partners across multiple lines of business.

Qualifications

• 4+ year degree in quantitative discipline or 5+ years in quantitative area.
• Experience in data science and quantitative analysis.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Understanding of modeling process, model performance measures, and model risk.
• Experience partnering and influencing to achieve results.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently in a complex team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Supports development and execution of reporting to identify and manage risk.
• Analyzes trends and supports data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics.
• Provides analytical support on product strategic initiatives across Risk functions.
• Participates in development of database production processes and performance reports using data mining.
• Responds to complex ad-hoc information requests from internal and external parties.
• Supports cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues.
• Monitors control outputs and investigates alerts from control checks.
• Create and maintain Dealer-level credit risk performance reporting.
• Analyze vintage wedges and current performance vs. guardrails, adjusting for expansions/CONTRACTIONS.
• Ad-hoc analysis of credit risk topics in Consumer Vehicle Lending.
