Job summary

American Electric Power Co. is seeking a risk management professional to administer the enterprise risk management credit policy under supervision, supporting business units for moderately complex transactions and assessing counterparties' ability to meet obligations.

You will perform credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and contract negotiation, with focus on data integrity, collateral administration, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; or an Associate degree with two years of related experience.
• Minimum three years total work experience.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and database management tools; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mitigate credit risks to preserve revenues and support moderately complex transactions.
• Monitor monetary limits, tenor limits, and ratings for counterparties.
• Prepare credit risk reports for risk committees and executive meetings.
• Negotiate credit provisions for master agreements and collateral documents.
• Maintain data integrity in the credit risk system and administer collateral.
