Job summary

The Senior Fund Accountant / Fund Controller will oversee NAV calculations and interact with fund administrators within a growing real estate credit platform. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a lean team and drive accounting excellence across master/feeder structures.

You will mentor junior staff, manage year-end audits, and partner across operations, reporting, and strategy. The role is in-office in Northern New Jersey, offering a competitive base plus bonus.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of fund accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience with Master/Feeder fund structures.
• Advanced Excel; programming or data tools a plus.
• In-office, full-time role in Northern New Jersey.
• High-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Competitive base plus bonus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NAV calculations across fund structures.
• Coordinate with fund administrators and counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
• Review remittances, deal activity, financing costs, and expenses.
• Calculate management and incentive fees.
• Lead year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Review fund tax returns and K‑1s.
• Support compliance initiatives and internal controls.
• Drive process improvements and system implementations.
• Perform data analysis and reconciliations across portfolios.
