Job summary

Wolseley in Warwick is seeking a Credit Controller to manage a ledger of approximately 2,000 customer accounts and drive timely cash collection. You will resolve queries by liaising with internal branches and account managers to ensure service excellence and debt recovery.

The role is full‑time with a hybrid pattern (office 3 days, home 2 days) and offers a competitive package including a bonus and extensive benefits. Strong Excel skills and credit control experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Relationship-building and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Confident and professional communication skills, including a strong telephone manner and the ability to handle challenging conversations.
• Good computer literacy, with a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a ledger of ~2,000 customer accounts and proactively collect outstanding debt by phone and email.
• Achieve monthly cash collection, overdue cash and 180-day debt targets while maintaining strong account performance.
• Resolve customer queries by liaising with internal branches and account managers to deliver timely solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support debt recovery and customer satisfaction.
