About The Position

Velosio is looking for a Credit & Collections Specialist to be an integral member of the Finance Team. As a Credit & Collections Specialist at Velosio, you will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts and owning the credit & collections process end to end. You will need to maintain effective communication across multiple departments and work closely with Billing and Cash Applications to ensure customer accounts are accurate and timely.

Your Day Might Look Like

  • Contact customers via phone and email, using excellent customer service skills, to resolve open account balances and record contact notes.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding account issues and reconcile accounts and disputes.
  • Submit requests for credits on invoice discrepancies.
  • Run A/R aging reports to review outstanding balances.
  • Provide guidance on provisions for bad debt.
  • Work with 3rd Party collections agencies to recover delinquent accounts.
  • Review and clean up unapplied cash.
  • Communicate with Sales, Delivery, Billing, and Cash Applications regarding collection issues.
  • Answer incoming customer calls and emails.
  • Develop a formal credit and collections process.
  • Assess financial stability and creditworthiness of prospective customers.
  • Administer credit limits and payment terms.
  • Use ERP system to document collections activities.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Maintain a forecast of anticipated collections for all invoices.
  • Develop key metrics for management reports.
