Job summary

Byline Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst I to prepare client credit files for review and approval. The role involves running bureaus, analyzing financial data, and producing loan presentations for appropriate approval authorities, within a hybrid office/remote setting in the Chicago area.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in credit analysis, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2+ years of credit experience in a public company with 1,000+ employees.
• 2+ years of credit analyst experience.
• Strong collaboration, time and project management abilities.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Runs Credit Bureaus, Dun & Bradstreet, and OFAC reports.
• Provides timely communications & decisions making to sales reps/teams.
• Assists with commercial credit analysis by reviewing financial statements and reports.
• Analyzes spreads of a company’s financial statements to assess credit strength.
• Researches prospective clients via internet, bank, and trade references.
• Independently review and decision client transactions within parameters.
• Prepares files for syndication and finalization.
• Scans booked files and prepares final files.
• Updates credit on existing files.
• Prepares vendor files for review by manager.
• Assists other departments and provides office support.
• Supports final funding reconciliation in Vendor Services.
• All other duties as assigned.
